Word has it, that Michelangelo, when he initially painted the Sistine Chapel, all the human figures were entirely nude. He did so to mock the Church. He believed that the human form was perfect, that there was nothing obscene about it. Another artist was then hired to 'conceal' what was 'necessary'.

I wonder if Pablo Bronstein was influenced by this work ?.

I love this Impressionist snapshot of real life. It shows a richness of form, a fluidity of brush stroke, and a flickering light.

I'm not quite sure I get the concept but I like the way the artist plays the portrait against this abstract form.

Bianca Trumble
The mixture of sharp angles and round, fluid forms make this a very interesting painting.

You are right Binaca , its rich in form as well , when you come to think of the language it speaks....I think it shares a dynamic equilibrium....giving rise to an new perceptual stage....the acute angles penitrating into the fluidity of a sublime cohesion....

Eva Moncrief
That must take some assembling!

Amanda Neerman
I saw and heard this work. It is really haunting and fascinating.....lacks the aesthetics I like to see in art but still a strong idea..

Averroes
